In 1938 a very unique, one-of-a-kind home was designed by a Hamilton-area architect and drafstman commissioned by the Lounsbury family of Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

In the true art deco style and tradition of the 1930s, the "Burlington Boathouse" (as it would become known), came to occupy a property on Lakeshore Blvd. overlooking the far west end of Lake Ontario. This designated, heritage home has been a landmark ever since. It has been written about, featured in architecture magazines and has been a curiosity for passers-by for decades.

In the 21st century, a local women by the name of Karen Moore purchased the home with the intention of completely restoring it to it's natural beauty and former glory. It was also her intention of creating three separate units within the house to be rented out as fully, furnished, corporate executive suites for short or long-term occupancy.

Karen, and her project manager, Frank Taylor, approached First Impression Graphics to build the website to establish an on-line presence to market this income property to the business community throughout the greater Toronto area.

The key was to make sure the site was photo driven. In other words, the house, the interior, the workmanship and the location would be front and centre to entice potential corporate renters. This was, frankly, an obvious choice given the uniqueness of the home and the fabulous quality and design of the interior layout and floor plan. Nonetheless, a minimalist layout was chosen. The landing page features professional, scrolling, photographs that are scaled to fully occupy a browser window no matter how large the screen resolution or monitor size. The site is both SEO and mobile optimized. The finishing touches will include interior-exterior photo galleries, virtual tours and drone fly-overs once content becomes available.
